ASTRONAUTS, THEIR COLLEAGUES, FAMILIES AND FRIENDS

Added to this, Adena complements her practice with her interest in The Psychology of Astronauts, their colleagues, families and friends. Since there are humans, not only payloads and satellites, launched into space, she is excited about, and sees the need to put both her interests, psychology and space, into the area of Psychology of Space Flight.

Today’s Astronauts need to be technically competent at their job, as well as competent in relating to multi-generational and multicultural teams.

Care needs to be taken to assist astronauts families and friends.  While the astronaut is on the adventure of a lifetime, the family and friends are left on earth.

One of her career goals is to become part of the industry of Space Psychology, perhaps the Australian Space Agency. Adena is here to assist those in space and on earth.

Bottom line, whether it’s in space or on earth we need to relate, it is a fundamental human need. The ‘right stuff’ for today’s astronaut has a lot to teach us about ‘the right stuff’ in being able to effectively relate and thus live our lives on earth.
